Warrior Transition Battalion Organization Day 2011
On Friday, July 29th the Warrior Transition Battalion on JBLM in Tacoma, WA held its Organization Day. Operation Ward 57 was present with an info booth manned by our own board director, Brittney Hamilton as well as wounded warrior Joseph Brown. Our organization sponsored the children’s carnival and paid for the prizes provided to the participants.
The day was filled with good food and fun times for one and all. Many sports were played throughout the day such as volleyball and basketball conforming to the rules developed for wounded soldiers.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this event making it the success it was. Here is to next year!
What is Organization Day?
Organization Day is a day put aside for family, friends and those serving in uniform to spend some quality time together. Set-up differs per unit and location but most organization days consist of outdoor BBQ or catering as well as a day filled with entertainment and games with an emphasis on team building skills.
