On Thursday, September 29th, 2011 the Warrior Transition Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA held its 3rd Annual Salsa & Dance Festival. This event is a fun filled event designed to bring together soldiers, their loved ones & surrounding community as well as celebrate hispanic heritage month.
The Salsa and Dance Festival had a salsa making contest with individuals competing for top honors and prizes. Also there were activities for children, a jalapeno eating contest and many other fun filled events.
Operation Ward 57 was present and in full force. We had an info booth set up and helped to aid with some of the events. We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who were able to come out and attend the event making it the success that it was.
