SFC Domeij, 29, was killed on Saturday in Kandahar Province when his elite unit accidentally set off a roadside bomb. He was a United States Army Ranger & served under the 75th regiment. This was his 14th combat deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11th, 2001 becoming the Army Ranger”with the most deployments to date killed in action.”
A member of the U.S. invasion force that went into Iraq in 2003, Domeij served four deployments to Iraq with another nine in Afghanistan. He was a three-time recipient of the Bronze star and was part of the unit that was involved in the rescue of Private Jessica Lynch.
SFC Domeij, a native of Santa Ana, California was married with two daughters.
