Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day 2012

Mar 31, 2012

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day | Operation Ward 57Operation Ward 57 would like to take a moment to recognize our nations Vietnam Veterans.

For the past several years many states and localities have chosen the last week of March, more specifically March 29th, as “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.” This day is a chance for our nation to recognize the contributions of our veterans who participated in the conflicts in South Asia. The date has been chosen as March 29th was the date in which U.S. forces pulled out of Vietnam.

For many Vietnam Veterans it is not so much a specific date as it is finally achieving a level of recognition for their contribution.

For todays generation of veterans, much of the care & treatment our wounded receive as well as programs started up to help veterans as well as their families are due to the sacrifices and the trail blazed by their predecessors.

We owe these veterans a debt of gratitude that is immeasurable.

From all of us at Operation Ward 57 and the American people, “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans.”

“Each time I talk with our Vietnam Veterans I am humbled from the absolute hell they all had to endure as well as the struggles they had to drive on through to better the lives of veterans everywhere.”
