This morning Operation Ward 57 will be holding Staff Sergeant Travis Mills and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, while serving with the 82nd Airborne, was wounded on April 10th during his third tour in Afghanistan. He was on foot patrol when an IED blast went off. Sadly, the bast resulted in the loss of all limbs for Mills making him a quadruple amputee.

Staff Sergeant Travis Mills recently turned 25, several days after his injuries. He is married with a six month old daughter.

Currently he is undergoing surgeries for stabilization in Germany with an expected return to the states for treatment and recovery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

There are many expenses not covered by the military at this time. For those wanting to assist, there is a fund set up for the family:

The Mills Family Fund
