Frederick Celtic Festival

Final Celtic Fesitval

This is the 13th annual family-oriented event that includes a British Car Show, the Festival, and concludes with a benefit concert. The event promotes Scottish and Irish culture and heritage with such activities as highland games (athletics), music, dancing, children’s tent and activities, car show, evening concert, traditional food, and more. Over 5,000 attended last year and we expect an increase this year.

All the ticket sales from the evening concert featuring The Rogues and donations from the car show will be given equally to Operation Ward 57 and WWP.

The entire event will honor WWs and their families. We will be inviting some wounded warriors to participate on the athletic field after the professional competition for a clinic and demonstration of the Scottish Athletic throwing events.

We are recruiting volunteers to help during the festival and evening concert as well we are seeking volunteers to support the WW’s designated area; help with set-up or clean-up; rove the festival grounds and concert with a special eye towards assisting our WW’s as necessary; assist with logistics coordination when appropriate.  See the volunteers for WW group on the website for details (http://www.sasmm.com/wwvolunteers.html).

Operation Ward 57 will also have a booth and will be selling OPW57 merchandise at the event. If interested in volunteering at the OPW57 booth please email Brittney at Brittney@operationward57.org.
