Operation Ward 57 Honored As A Top-Rated Nonprofit in 2015

SEATTLE – Operation Ward 57 is pleased to announce it has been honored for a third year in a row with a prestigious Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2015 Nonprofit for a third year,” said Brittney Hamilton, Executive Director of Operation Ward 57. “We are proud that we can continue to assist wounded, ill and injured service members, Veterans and their families in and out of the hospital for as long as they need us.”

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Operation Ward 57 received from donors, volunteers and many of the service members or caregivers that have received help through the programs of Operation ward 57. People were invited to post their personal experiences with Operation Ward 57 on the GreatNonprofits website.

One person wrote, “I first encountered Operation Ward 57 when I was working at the WTB at JBLM. I saw how hard they worked to bring events to our Soldiers and decided to become a volunteer with the organization. In the last few years, I have seen first-hand how much caring for our wounded, ill and injured Service Members matters to the organization. It is a bare-bones operation, run almost entirely by volunteer support, and the will and passion of the Director, Brittney. I’m proud to support Operation Ward 57 because I know that money raised goes directly to Soldiers and their families, and that we really make a difference for them.”

“Donors want to be able to trust the charities they donate to and want to see the impact of their donations more than ever,” said Hamilton. “Those with direct experience have the chance to help give a voice to the organization and let others know it is making a real difference.”

Receiving the 2015 Top-Rated Nonprofit Award gives sponsors and donors confidence that Operation Ward 57 is a credible organization focused on stewardship, integrity and compassion.
