Army announces move to 9 month deployments

A glimpse into the amazing lives of our men and women serving in uniform. SGT Kenneth Marinellie, still recovering 15 months later after receiving wounds in Afghanistan during his 5th tour, will be taking care of his 10 year old daughter while his wife, who is also a soldier, will deploy on her 2nd tour to Iraq.

Brittney Christopher, spouse of Tech. Sgt. Corey Christopher, wrote in to her local paper detailing her perspective of her husbands deployment preparation and sacrifices that will be made during his time overseas in Afghanistan.

Operation Ward 57 would like to send out a special Welcome Home message to the men and women who belong to the 467th Combat Stress Control. These fine soldiers returned from Afghanistan over the course of the past week after a nearly year long tour after suffering the loss of several comrades in the tragic terrorist attack on Fort Hood.
