Operation Ward 57 participated in the 4th Annual WTB Chili Cook Off 2012 in Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State.
At this time, Operation Ward 57 would like to take a moment to remember the 4 soldiers killed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord on December 12th. The soldiers died when two helicopters crashed during a training exercise at the Washington Army Base.

On October 28th, 2011 the Annual Trunk-or-Treat event was held on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Our Executive Director, Brittney Hamilton, represented Operation Ward 57 proudly. She turned the back of her explorer into a Pirates Treasure Chest full of Pirate Booty for kids and adult alike!
On Thursday, September 29th, the Warrior Transition Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord held its 3rd Annual Salsa and Music Festival. The event was a success featuring a salsa cooking competition, jalapeno eating contest, salsa dancing, live music, activities for children and so much more.
On August 15th, 2011 at 10 am Joint Base Lewis-McChord held a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the doors to its new barracks for wounded soldiers.
