Operation Ward 57 LogoHi Everyone,

SO MUCH HAS BEEN GOING ON TO GET THE WARD 57 PROGRAM UP ANDRUNNING,
Here is the amazing update for you. (Get your credit cards and check books out now 😉

Ward 57 of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC is a 40 bed unit which provides 24 hour nursing care for patients who have lost a limb or worse in combat come to heal. http://www.wramc.army.mil/departments/nursing/sections/sns/wd57.html

NEWS FROM THE WARD
Sgt. Cameron reports that even though his request for a stapler got turned down a few weeks ago (no I’m not kidding) ….he is making some positive changes on the Ward. If he still doesn’t have a stapler, we will send five from the money raised. He has shown the newsletter and website to other nurses and patients and they can’t believe the amount of support you’ve shown and send you all a huge THANK YOU!

MOVIE TIME
Sitting in a hospital room for months and while their limbs heal is painful and boring. One of the first purchases will be DVD players and movies for the patients’ rooms if we don’t get them donated first. So clean out your DVD collection and upgrade your player, the patients really really want to watch movies. Mail them to the address below.
