LOS ANGELES, California — When Tryg (pictured second from the right) and the guys walk into the room, it’s like the party has officially arrived. This well-spoken group of rockers are professional, smart, courteous, self-deprecating and above all… funny as all hell. The energy and honest love of music is immediately evident. Now, down to the final three bands, Fall From Grace is closer than ever to the $1 million record deal with Bodog Music. The band boasts piercing lyrics, original sound and hardcore determination. They claim NOT to be your average “I wanna be famous” band. Can they make it to the end?

“We were a little skeptical coming into this. We took it as a joke,” the band’s frontman, Tryg said. “It wasn’t until after the second round we took it seriously. As we went through the rounds, we got more and more PR. Then we started to research Bodog and we realized how huge it was.”

The show “Bodog Music Battle of the Bands,” which airs Wednesday nights on fuse, has already helped skyrocket the band, who sold everything to buy a rusty tour van.

“On our MySpace, we went from 150 plays a day to 3,000 plays a day. Every time the show airs our online merchandise sales store goes through the roof,” Tryg said.

“Everything from Fall From Grace we do ourselves. We can’t keep up,” added Ken Olson, who plays bass.

The band is also interested in helping the community. On Wednesday night’s finale, Fall From Grace will be sporting Ward 57 T-shirts to help promote a charity for a military hospital in Washington D.C. The proceeds of online T-shirt purchases will benefit amputee victims who have come back from Iraq.

Of their experience on the show, Fall From Grace is grateful but admits they have been through a lot together. Big Bang Radio couldn’t handle the pressure. While Fall From Grace and Blaxmyth had been working on new songs and upping their public presence, Big Band Radio was breaking up in front of Bodog’s cameras. To replace Big Bang Radio, another band from the Bodog Tour Bus past will come back to perform in the finale.

“It’s rough. It’s not like a regular tour where you can control your lives. We’re like dust in the wind, you know?” drummer Kenny Bates said of Big Bang’s break-up.

The season finale will air live on fuse, Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. PST/10 p.m. EST and is coming right at you from the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. Wanna be front and center? Tickets for the live finale now on sale! You can score tickets for the finale through the battle website, Ticketmaster and the House of Blues Box Office.
