Airefco, Inc Donates A/C Unit to Wounded Warrior

Sep 8, 2016

Several months ago we were approached by one of our partners, Airefco Inc., headquartered in Tualatin Oregon, asking of we knew of any wounded, ill or injured warriors in need of an air conditioning or heating unit in their home in the Pacific Northwest region – as they were graciously seeking to donate a new unit and the installation FREE OF CHARGE! Knowing the magnitude of this amazing gift, and how much an AC/Heating unit could benefit so many of our wounded heroes we opened up nominations to find the perfect recipient. We know it must have been a difficult decision as there were so many deserving nominations. But a wounded warrior was selected.

On behalf of Airfeco, Inc, Puyallup Heating & Air Conditioning and Operation Ward 57 we are excited to announce that Kris Lindsey and his wife Kellie of Tenino, WA have been selected to receive the complimentary A/C unit and installation!

Kris & Kellie LindseyKris Lindsey was injured while he was deployed on August 1st, 2013 resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). He had 4 large skull fractures with severed nerves and tremendous hemorrhaging from two locations in his brain. He suffers from daily headaches, has permanent double vision, has short and long term memory issues, and lost most of his hearing. The permanent injury to his brain stem has seriously affected his central nervous system and as a result he cannot regulate his body temperature which makes the donation of this new air conditioner unit a blessing!

We are so excited to begin the install of this new unit for the Lindsey’s alongside Puyallup Heating & Air Conditioning in the next couple weeks. It is truly a blessing to know there are so many individuals and companies out there who recognize that so many of our wounded heroes continue to adjust to a “new normal” after their injuries. This tremendous gift is just one way they are helping to give back to their communities. We cannot thank them enough.
